Glenfield Capital Acquires Lake Burton Club (now known as Waterfall Country Club)

News

Glenfield Capital and its partner today acquired the Lake Burton Club and immediately changed the name to its original name, Waterfall Country Club. The 234 acre property includes a 52,000 sf athletic club, a 9,803 sf lodge, an 18 hole bent grass golf course designed by Scott Pool and 78 lots. The $30 million development’s membership includes the region’s most successful individuals.

Affiniti Golf Partners of Atlanta has been engaged to professionally manage the club. The club and its facilities and the 78 unsold lots will now be owned by separate entities.

“Waterfall is a truly special place. There are numerous developments in the mountains in the Southeastern United States, but this club is one of the finest, maybe a category of its own. We are excited about the opportunity to be involved with such beautiful real estate and to be a part of finally completing the vision for Waterfall’s members and homeowners,” said James. P. Cate, managing principal of Glenfield Capital.
